About the firm
Target Back is a federal contracting firm with a simple mandate: make government programs run with more precision. We work across civilian, defense, and homeland missions, concentrating on the operational layer — how work is planned, executed, measured, and improved.
The firm exists because Will Henry spent ten years in the Air Force watching the same pattern repeat. Throughout DoW and the rest of his career he kept seeing solvable problems sitting in the open — real friction, clear fixes — that no one was assigned to close. He decided to lead that work himself.
We are not a catalog of commodities. We are a problem-solving practice. When a program is slow, fragmented, or over-cost, we target the cause, put a solution in motion, and stay with the work until the system is tighter than we found it.
From the CEO
Will Henry still leads client engagement personally — from the first briefing through the work that follows. The standard is the one he carried out of uniform: find the friction, solve the problem, leave the mission faster and cleaner than it started.

How we work
01
We lock onto the operational constraint — the friction no one has named, or no one has been willing to own — before anyone writes a plan around the symptom.
02
Once the target is clear, we put the firm behind the people closest to it: a practical plan, accountable owners, and the follow-through required to close the problem.
03
Then the mission moves. We leave the system faster, cleaner, and able to keep the tempo — so the gain holds past the briefing.
Capabilities
Efficiency. Problem-solving. Optimization. Across the government areas where operational friction costs time, money, and tempo.
We map how work actually moves — handoffs, cycle time, idle capacity — and strip out the drag. The goal is a tighter operating rhythm without cutting the mission short.
Request a briefingWhen a program is stuck, we diagnose the real constraint, design a practical intervention, and put accountable owners on it. No theater. A problem named is a problem we intend to close.
Request a briefingOnce the path is clear, we tune it: metrics that matter, processes that hold under audit, and continuous improvement that compounds across teams, contracts, and fiscal years.
Request a briefingSchedule, risk, stakeholder cadence, and execution discipline for work that has to land on time.
Standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer, and workflows that survive staff turnover.
Proposal readiness, compliance hygiene, and contract execution support that keeps the file clean.

Sectors
Federal missions do not live in one office. Neither do we. Target Back is built to move across government areas without losing precision.
Operational support for programs that cannot afford drift — readiness, logistics, and execution tempo.
Process and delivery work for agencies charged with protection, response, and continuity.
Efficiency and optimization for departments whose missions are public, visible, and measured.
Disciplined problem-solving around sensitive workflows, with the discretion the work requires.
Program delivery that treats care, claims, and capacity as operational systems — not slogans.
Cross-cutting modernization where civilian operations, facilities, and field work have to line up.
